True. But you missed the rare opportunity to break his spirit.

I never signed up for one of those 'do not call' lists for telemarketers. Instead, I make sure I don't get a call back by making them admit that:
-They are lying.
-They're parents would be ashamed of them.
-They could probably get a better, more satisfying job if they tried.
-All of they above.

It's more fun than hanging up on them.

I have "borrowed" that same insult at least 3 times. Engendered me all three times.

Not to say it isn't an accurate description, but I'm getting all kinds of mileage with other people.

:shock:This has been happening to me for about a year and does not seem to be associated with my cell phone. I hear a hum and my body vibrates where-ever it is touching a surface (chair, ground, etc). Some days I do not have it. It occurs in Ohio, Ga, WV, TN so it is not location specific. I have not talked to a doc about it because I do not want to go thru all the neurological tests and then be told "live with it". I am surprised to hear this is happening to so many.

Dear Jonah,
I have been trying to contact your branch of the Weiland family to tell them that our Mom, Marian Weiland Block Abrams, died on Friday. She was 93, and one of the last Weilands of her generation. Her dad (our Gramps) was Louis Weiland, the eldest of the Weiland children. Her obituary is below. I wonder if you could please let your family know.
Because of the many questions that arose at the funeral, I have made a Word document of the descendants of the Samuel Weiland and Regina Grossman. Please let me know if any of you would like me to email it to you.
   Thanks so much.
-- Becky Block

ABRAMS, MARIAN WEILAND BLOCK, age 93, passed away June 5, 2009 in Hallandale, FL. Born April 23, 1916 in Cincinnati, OH to the late Louis E. and Dora (Levine) Weiland, she wed Mandell J. Block of Dayton, OH, who died in 1980 after 44 years of marriage. They had three children, Judith Ann (Mike) Berliner, Richard (Becky) Block and Andrew (Debbie) Block. A founder of the Women's Auxiliary of the Orthodox Jewish Home for the Aged, as a child she and her father laid the cornerstone for the "new" Adath Israel building. She owned and operated Franklyn Realty and for many years was a member of the Cincinnati Real Estate Board. A resident of Florida since 1979, her second husband was the late Morris Abrams of Cleveland, OH. In addition to her parents and husbands, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Shirley Casper and Adele Selevan and a nephew Daniel Selevan. She is survived by her children, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. Among her many cousins, she is survived by Edwin Weiland, Harriett Kling, Gloria Jean Rubin, Reabelle Emden, Janet Solinger, Marilyn Klein, Richard Weiland, Steven Cohen, Ruth Corson, Ruth Leher, Jean Sanker, Ann Meyers, Ellen Ebert, Martha Dunkleman and Lois Lipp. Burial services were held at United Jewish Cemetery in Montgomery, Ohio. Weil Funeral Home handled the arrangements. As a contribution to a "Memory Book," please send a picture or story to Andy Block (E-mail:
arblock@aol.com, address: 6332 Woodway Lane, Plano, TX 75093).
