“The Fountain” Soundtrack

I’m really digging the soundtrack to “The Fountain.” The movie made me bawl like a baby. Loved it. It’s a very unusual film that actually requires audience members to think and be engaged while watching. Hugh Jackman gives a phenomenal perfomance. Aronofsky does a wonderful job as director. And the music brings it all together in the end.
The soundtrack struck me while watching the film — it’s a bit of a cliche to call a soundtrack haunting, but this one is. The music as composed by Clint Mansell (Pop Will Eat Itself) is unbelievably emotional. My two favorite tracks are “Death is the Road to Awe” and “Finish It,” although the entire soundtrack is very compelling.
It’s been a while since a soundtrack has interested me this much. Thus why I’m blabbing on about it here.
