Photo Trippy at the Electric Daisy Carnival
This past weekend I decided to go to the Electric Daisy Carnival in Crapville, USA, also known as San Bernadino. I went with one purpose in mind — to try out my trusty new lens for my Canon Digital Rebel. It’s a lens that’s perfect for low-light situations and since I got it I’ve used it maybe twice. I knew the Electric Daisy Carnival, with it’s big rave like light shows and what not, would be a good place to take some photos. This isn’t a review of the event itself (I was there for only 2.5 hours and completely sober the entire time), but more just a me showing off some of the fun pics I snapped while I was there. So, let’s get to it.

Here are two of my favorite DJs, Gabriel and Dresden, spinning. Love the lighting in this one and the odd frozen moment on Gabriel’s face.

One of my favorite shots I snapped. G&D working hard.

Another shot from the crowd, different lighting effects.

Some dude getting his “rave on.”

This was taken in a domed room next door. No idea who’s spinning. The domed room provided some really cool laser effects, as you’ll see in the next three photos.

Oh pretty laers!

This picture was taken in the trance room and, once again, I have no idea who’s up there on stage. But I loved how this picture turned out. It was impossible to get to the front of the crowd for this room since they had two body painted only gogo dancers shaking their tail feathers on stage. All the tweaked out dudes wanted to be near the boobies and they weren’t budging.

Another shot of the same, with a better look at the gogo dancers. I love the dude with his arm extended. It’s as thought he’s saying, “PICK ME! PICK MEEEE!”

Christopher Lawrence spins at the main stage, the same room G&D were in. I found a platform at the back of the room, which provided opportunities for some good shots of the entire room.

I like this shot with the house lights blazing on the audience. Blows out the photo a bit, but it looks like the assembled masses are all waiting to “go into the light.”

I like the laser snake in this one.

A really trippy shot. I like how Christopher has his arm raised high, as though he’s instructing his army of fans to keep “raving on.” Did I just say raving on? Oh man.

Two cool shots with a neat effect on the video boards.

I just managed to get the camera out again as the Superman projected logo was fading away. I love how Christopher has both arms up here. Fun shot.
That’s it. Hope you enjoyed.
