I always felt Phil's show worked best when we were on from 9 - Midnight in Los Angeles. It's late, people aren't quite as focused, maybe a bit relaxed and here comes this guy with these crazy characters saying the most outrageous things.

We did a fill-in once for Bill Handel back in 1998. Lemme tell you, waking up at 3:30 in the morning is a major bitch. Plus, we quickly discovered there just wasn't that much time for Phil on the air. With that many commercials, sports and news breaks, I think we had like 20 minutes on the air.

But hey, our first time on in the mornings we got in big trouble, so that was fun.

I'm in shock. I wish he's still do his show like once a week at least. He has the best show on radio.

The problem is it takes a few weeks to figure out his show and then it is even more entertaining, so most Americans do not know the genius of Phil Hendrie.

Instead of leaving radio, his show should have replaced Howard Stern. It would have taken a few weeks but then the radio cooler talk might have been "You've got to listen to this guy". There are still enough idiots out there that not eveyrone would have heard of the show and he still would have gotten allers.
