Tonite I decided with a smile
To see what prose you had written
To discuss my Mom, your aunt
The one who Death too soon has bitten.

You touched my heart
With your honest words
I agree with you
This death thing is for the birds.

I kept the card
You wrote from scratch
It will go in a memory box
With a whole other batch.

Your sister's trip to Cincy
Was more meaningful than you know
Having her here that weekend
Made it easier when the tears did flow.

I'll leave you now with my poetic prowess
And look forward to your trip here real soon
To meet Adam and Shayna, too
Just try to get here before June.
