Johny Mother Fucking Cash
Well, I just watched the trailer for “Walk The Line,” the new film about Johnny Cash starring Joaquin Phoenix, and damn if it don’t look good. I hadn’t heard of this film until now. This is a must see for me.

Found this site today that helps you create a map of the various countries you’ve visited around the world. So, I put one together for my own travels, including my upcoming trip to China (with a layover in Taiwan).
The site tells me I’ve visited 11 countries, only 4% of those in the world. And you can’t even make out the red for Tahiti, Samoa and Fiji. Bastards.
Sadly I had to miss out on a trip to Australia this year, but had I gone there would have been a lot more red on this map. I’d also have been able to say that in 2005 I step foot on four different continents. I like the sound of that.
Next year I’m thinking about a two week visit to Australia and New Zealand. Spend 8-9 days in Australia, then spend four to five days white water rafting in New Zealand. I’m also very interested in checking out Central America. That appeals to me because it’s going to third world and developing nations, but there’s no 16 hour flight to get there. Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama and Honduras all really appeal to me. One day. Also high on my list is Sweeden, Amsterdam and Iceland. Iceland just looks too beautiful to be true.
“You Could Have Been A Lady” – Hot Chocolate
Ohhh, the chocolatey goodness.
So, a couple of weeks back I was mis-quoted in a Fox News story and now last week I’m mis-attributed in an Associated Press story.
Johan Weiland. Nice.
Sure, I’ve got loads of English and Eastern European blood in my background, but I ain’t no Sweede.
Shiot.
OK, since last Wednesday I’ve been living in a mini-hell that got bigger and bigger, but then got all good again. LONG story short, last Wednesday was the beginning of Comic-Con International which I attended as part of CBR’s coverage of the show. There were many good moments, and a good handful of frustrating ones (mostly due to the CRAP FUCKING ASS BITCH SHIT PISS wireless connection at the Embassy Suites Downtown), but it ended on a fucking painful note.
I’m just glad I’m back home, that servers are running fine and I can get back to doing the work that needs to be done.
I’m quoted in this article about the new “Fantastic Four” film. It’s a good article, really, but I was misquoted slightly. At least I’m pretty sure I was. I do a lot of heroin, speed, cocaine, meth, shrooms, opium, crank, industrial cleaner and Snickers bars, so it could just be a case of blown brain.
“Chris Evans as The Human Torch/Johnny Storm is the breakthrough in film. Michael Chiklis is great as The Thing. They are the two most important characters in the comic and the two most important in the film.”
I’m pretty sure I said they are the two most interesting characters, not important. Not a big deal, though. I’ve been misquoted far worse before. Overall it’s a good article, even if I had to share the fun with Rob Worley. The freak’s always trying to horn in on my crap. I will kill him.
Had no idea the article was published until my friend Mike dropped me an e-mail. Kinda fun. Curious to see if a link from an article on FoxNews.com ups the traffic on CBR at all.
It’s not a very good film, but it’s also not completely awful. If you’ve got young boys, they’ll probably love it. And while I may act it at times, I’m not a young boy. I’ll show you.
Well, I’ve been all over North America and visited three countries in Europe, so clearly it’s time for me to check out another country. At the end of August I’ll be going to Hong Kong and probably Beijing.
So, a close friend of my sister, Sharon, is currently living in Hong Kong for another 4 or months or so, Her company sent her there for a six-month stay to work and she invited Sharon to come on out and visit. So, I’ll be joining my sister for the trip. Just booked our flight (we’ve got a three hour layover in Taipei) and with no need to pay for a hotel, the whole trip shouldn’t be that expensive. Everyone I’ve spoken to who’s been to Hong Kong said everything is ridiculously cheap and that Beijing gets even cheaper. Cool! It’ll be a nice change from the ridiculously expensive London.
This will mean I’ve been physically outside the United States three times this year. Although, does Canada really count?
This is going to be fun.
